Spring Street (Manhattan), Taïm, Balthazar (restaurant)

  • Very nice job! Everything checks out with one small exception. The link to Reference #55 (Vanessa Carlton) went to a blank screen each time I tried it. Once that's fixed, the article should be good to go. NinaGreen (talk) 21:14, 7 February 2013 (UTC)
  • I've never done DYK before, so I don't know if it's OK to respond here or not - feel free to delete this if necessary. The website for ref #55 appears to be down for maintenance. Beyond My Ken (talk) 21:34, 7 February 2013 (UTC)
  • @Nina -- many thanks. It was a good link, and you can see the relevant part of it still here. Per WP:DEADREF ("Do not delete a citation merely because the URL is not working today."), I would leave it in until/unless a replacement can be found -- which I will look to supply if I can find an appropriate one. @BMK -- yes, it is perfect for you to respond here ... many thanks.--Epeefleche (talk) 22:17, 7 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Done. I found a working replacement, which I've replaced it with. Best.--Epeefleche (talk) 22:26, 7 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Thanks. Good to go. NinaGreen (talk) 23:43, 7 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Nina, I just wanted to be sure that you reviewed all three articles, not just the Spring Street article. All three need to be reviewed, and the hook facts relevant to each article need to be checked in that article. If you have already reviewed Taïm and Balthazar (restaurant), please just restore your tick; if you haven't, can you do so, or should I find another reviewer for them? (Also, can you specify what it is you checked, rather than simply say "everything checks out"? It helps the person promoting the hook into a prep area to have that information. Many thanks.) BlueMoonset (talk) 05:36, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
  • No, I didn't review Taim and Balthazar (restaurant). I didn't realize one could have three new articles in a DYK nomination, and I assumed the only article to be reviewed was Spring Street. I'll review the other two later today. I'm happy to expand my comment on Spring Street. By 'Very nice job! Everything checks out' I meant that the article was new, long enough, and covered the topic well, the hook is interesting and supported by inline citations, links to other Wikipedia articles all work, reference links all work (with the exception of the one I noted, and which the author of the article replaced with a different link). NinaGreen (talk) 17:58, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Balthazar article meets all the above-mentioned criteria with the exception of (1) a few bare urls which need to be fixed (references 3, 4, 15, 30); (2) two refs which are stated to link to an article entitled "The Kingdom of New York", but go to "The Observatory: Bistro of Burden" (references 9 and 12); and (3) a link (reference 23) which went to an "unavailable for viewing" message when I tried it, but which seems to be the same as reference 19, so perhaps they could be combined. NinaGreen (talk) 21:36, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Thanks. Let me know if all the refs look acceptable, or if any issues remain. Best.--Epeefleche (talk) 22:51, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Thanks. Refs are now all fine, and Balthazar article is now good to go, so this entire DYK nomination is ready to proceed to the next stage. NinaGreen (talk) 00:36, 9 February 2013 (UTC)
