The Box of Delights (TV series)
[edit]...the 1984 BBC Television adaptation of John Masefield's The Box of Delights was the most expensive children's drama the BBC had yet created?
Kingsley, Madeleine (17 November 1984), "A Box Full of Magic", Radio Times, pp. 101–103, retrieved 2017-10-14
- ALT1: ... that the final episode of the six-part BBC Television adaptation of John Masefield's The Box of Delights was broadcast on Christmas Eve 1984?
"Leave Us Not Little... Nor Yet Dark". BBC Programmes. 1984-12-24.

- I was saving posting this so I could request a DYK for Christmas Eve. Another editor split a cast and episode list from the The Box of Delights article on Thursday, but basically this is new today. Bob talk 14:51, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
- New enough, long enough, neutrally written, well referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. However, I am unable to find the fact that only 6 episodes were broadcast, and that the last one was broadcast on December 24, 1984, in footnote 14. Images are fair use. QPQ done. - @Yoninah: Thanks for this, it's perhaps not as obvious as it could be in the references, as it's in the "broadcasts" section as "BBC One Christmas Eve 1984 17:25". The episodes are listed by clicking the "episodes" button on that reference which lists the six episodes. Do you think switching these to the Radio Times Genome project listing might be better?
