Template:Saskatchewan communities
This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Saskatchewan communities}} ). |
The following is a substitution template containing a sample layout or guideline for a Saskatchewan city, town, village, resort village, northern town, northern village, northern hamlet, unincorporated community, organized hamlet, hamlet, special service area, or northern settlement. It may be subst'd into a new article. {{subst:Saskatchewan communities}} If you begin a new article with this template, add "subst:Saskatchewan Communities" in the edit summary.
Note #1: If the community is unincorporated, do not assume it is a hamlet. The Government of Saskatchewan only recognizes 20 unincorporated communities as "hamlets" as of January 2018, while recognizing 151 unincorporated communities as "organized hamlets" and 20 others as "special service areas". If a community is neither recognized as a "hamlet", "organized hamlet", nor "special service area" in the Government of Saskatchewan's latest Municipal Directory System report, apply "unincorporated community" as its status.
Note #2: Do not edit this template page directly if you just want to create a new article.
