Please add placeholder dates for the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections, in support of Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2022/Header, which uses this template. The header is being created to enable a placeholder Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2022 page to be created.

Proposed placeholder parameters to add to the outermost #switch parser function:

<!-- Placeholder 2022 dates until final dates are determined -->
|2022={{{{{|safesubst:}}}#switch:{{{2}}}
  |rfcbegin   = 1 September 2022
  |rfcend     = 1 October 2022
  |ecbegin    = 1 October 2022
  |ecnomclose = 8 October 2022
  |ecend      = 15 October 2022
  |ecdeadline = 21 October 2022
  |nombegin   = 6 November 2022
  |nomend     = 16 November 2022
  |begin      = 22 November 2022
  |end        = 6 December 2022
 }}

 Not done for now: There is no need to have anything for 2022 setup yet. — JJMC89(T·C) 03:17, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
For instance, the dates shown at Wikipedia:5-minute guide to ArbCom elections can be confusing for editors unfamiliar with the annual process. Having placeholder dates would avoid this. (The 2021 dates were entered in May 2021 for this purpose.) isaacl (talk) 03:33, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

As per discussion at Wikipedia talk:Requests for comment/Arbitration Committee Elections December 2022 § Election timeline, can the start date of the nominations be set to the second Sunday of November, namely November 13, as set forth in Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Arbitration Committee Elections/ACERFC decisions to date, and the subsequent dates altered accordingly? The end result would be as follows (the values for the |nombegin=, |nomend=, |begin=, and |end= parameters are altered):

{{{{{|safesubst:}}}#switch:{{{1}}}
|2022={{{{{|safesubst:}}}#switch:{{{2}}}
  |rfcbegin   = 1 September 2022
  |rfcend     = 1 October 2022
  |ecbegin    = 2 October 2022
  |ecnomclose = 9 October 2022
  |ecend      = 16 October 2022
  |ecdeadline = 22 October 2022
  |nombegin   = 13 November 2022
  |nomend     = 23 November 2022
  |begin      = 29 November 2022
  |end        = 13 December 2022
  |poll       =
  |votewikiid =
 }}

 Done @Isaacl I'm putting it in, though this is of course up to change from this year's RFC. — xaosflux Talk 13:28, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
