I thought this template might be useful

[edit]

I've created this template based on Template:Canberra tasks and thought it might help give people some ideas to get started. I'm not precious about the content so please feel free to make changes and discuss articles that need attention either here or at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Brisbane. I thought about creating Wikipedia:WikiProject Brisbane/Featured workup based on Wikipedia:WikiProject Canberra/Featured workup and including a link but decided to hold off for now and wait until we get some momentum on the Brisbane wikiproject. Feel free to start it. -- Adz|talk 10:24, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea! I added some things to it, and also edited a few eg. Westfield Carindale has been changed to just westfield, signifying all the elemntsof the chain (Garden City, Indropilly, Chermside etc), i also changed Holy Spirit Hospital to Brisbane Private, its new name. --Kiran90 11:59, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Brisbane Transport

[edit]

I recently joined wiki and live in Brisbane, I have noticed the Brisbane Transport page is a bit disconnected the article is sound but other elements that should be within it ie Brisbane Ferries which I created and there are also individual pages for Brisbane Ferry Wharves that probably should also be within Brisbane Transport. --Matt 07:30, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Too long?

[edit]

I was thinking this task list was becoming unmanageable so I culled a few items that were already contained in their relevant category. If nobody has a problem with it, I might to do the rest, except for the suburbs section and if someone replaces something I've removed I'm not going to edit it out again. Maybe high importance articles that are still stubs should remain on the task list.

In the long term, if this guideline was used the task list would be more useful, instead of duplicating the function of categories. If the featured article workup was implemented for this WikiProject it could focus on improving B-class articles to something better and all B-class items on the task list could then be removed as well. If you have alternate ideas on this I would like to know them. - Shiftchange 04:21, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the list is a bit long. I was about to add Brisbane City Council as that article is in need of some work. I'm not sure which section it fits in? Or perhaps we need a section for Government departments.--Sting au Buzz Me... 07:57, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
