Imprints[edit]

Since this page is about publishers, it should have an imprints argument, yes? Also needs an example section for copy-pasting. WLU (t) (c) (rules - simple rules) 01:20, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ISBN[edit]

I would also suggest the infobox has ISBN information included. It is a clear identification of a publisher. Iswikinumber2 (talk) 16:33, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

lack of name field is an issue[edit]

Given the article name may not match exactly the publishers name, or names if it carried more than one during the publishers lifetime.GraemeLeggett (talk) 11:08, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Flag icons[edit]

Needs to be brought in line with MOS:FLAG. Suitable wording from Template:Infobox company is, "Do not use flag icons, as this places an unnecessary emphasis on nationality; see MOS:FLAG for a detailed rationale." Nurg (talk) 23:29, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

What's up with the image handling in this template? Why doesn't it just take the raw File: input like every other infobox? czar 16:22, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It was probably implemented before that was common. It is probably relatively easy to allow template to do either. I'll have a look when I get time. Jonpatterns (talk) 13:37, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Defunct as parameter[edit]

It would be better to have 'defunct' as a parameter, instead of adding year to status. An example using this parameter is Template:Infobox_company. Jonpatterns (talk) 13:37, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Jonpatterns: I've added defunct to the template. Status is more "Active", or the legal status, like a non-profit. Funandtrvl (talk) 19:44, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 22 July 2022[edit]

Let’s pluralize “Headquarters locations” because there may be more than one HQ location. 2605:8D80:401:898C:940F:4CEC:7861:DE2D (talk) 19:37, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: The definition for HQ is singular. There may only be one HQ at a time. Aaron Liu (talk) 15:19, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"and age"?[edit]

Is it preferred to use {{start date}} or {{start date and age}} for founded, and {{end date}} or {{end date and age}} for defunct? The document isn't consistent. Nick Number (talk) 20:21, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
