Changes, May 2023[edit]

As part of a rewrite on-going at Talk:Julius Caesar I changed some of the dates in this timeline. Full source lists can be found either at Julius Caesar or I can expand on request. MM 2021 says Cornelia died in 67 (not 69). Marriage with Pompeia followed shortly afterwards; it was not in 63. Per MRR 2, Caesar was not praetor urbanus. He was proconsular governor in Hisp Ult, not propraetorian. The first dictatorship was in October 49, not 48. There was a typo where "Isauricu" omitted an "s". Roman republican women also did not sport cognomina; see Zmeskal 2009. Further edits possibly forthcoming. Ifly6 (talk) 17:02, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
