Thakur Prasad was a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party from Bihar. He was a cabinet minister in 1977 Karpoori Thakur ministry in 1977. He was president of Bihar state unit of Bharatiya Jan Sangh . He was father of Ravi Shankar Prasad. Prasad was a senior advocate at Patna High Court.[1] He member of Bihar Legislative Assembly from Patna West constituency from 1977 to 1980.[2]
