Plot summary should be kept below 700 words. Also, I'm uncertain of the relevance of inserting minor details such as the "chauffeur, butler, and gardener," the "supposed detective," etc. Lastly, I'm not sure if any reputable scholar disputes Wilson kills Gatsby, including those which favor an "unreliable narrator" approach to the book. undo Tag: Undo

Found an old 1986 reference book available on the Internet Archive which notes on page 127 that Kirk Douglas headlined a 30 minute adaptation of The Great Gatsby for the Family Hour of Stars (also known as the Prudential Hour of Stars). Also, corrected an error: The radio episode is 30 minutes long, not an hour long. undo

Updated Tredell source to use Internet Archive which can be easily checked by future editors. Verified page numbers. Also, corrected an error: In 1959, more than 50,000 copies of The Great Gatsby were sold. But the next year, in 1960, the number doubled and 100,000 copies were sold. It would sell 300,000 a year by the end of that decade. undo
