The Underdog is a song by indie rock band Spoon, issued as the lead single from their sixth studio album Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. The song was written by frontman Britt Daniel[2] and produced by Jon Brion.[3] The single was released on July 10, 2007,[1] and it reached #26 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.[2]

On October 6, 2007, the band performed the song on Saturday Night Live.[4]

The song was featured in the 2009 film I Love You, Man, the 2009 film 17 Again and also in the opening and ending scene of the 2011 film Horrible Bosses.

Music video

The music video was directed by Keven McAllester.[5]
