Tushar Dutta (Bengali: তুষার দত্ত, Urdu:تشار دتہ, Hindi: तुषार दत्ता) is an Indian classical vocalist. He received his training from ITC Sangeet Research Academy.[1][2][3]

Early life

Tushar Dutta was born in Natore, Bangladesh. Tushar started learning the fundamentals of Indian Classical music from Pt. Bimal Mitra of Durgapur at an early age. Later He Joined ITC Sangeet Research Academy in 1983, at first he took Taalim under Pandit Arkut Kannabhirham, later under Pandit Arun Bhaduri. He also took Taalim in Agra Gharana under Pandit K G Ginde and Pandit Sunil Bose and also from His Guru-Sister Vidushi Subhra Guha. He was awarded the National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. Tushar is the “Top Grade” artiste in the All India Radio.In 1998, Tushar Dutta stood first in Khayal at All India University competition in Banaras . He has received the title of Surmani from Sur Sringar Samsad of Mumbai.[4][5][6]

Career

Tushar Dutta has participated in many major concerts including the ones in the Birla academy of Art & Culture,[7] and the ITC Sangeet Sammelan.[8][9]

He has play backed for many Bengali Television series and Bengali Movies.[citation needed]

He has performed at almost every prestigious music conference all over the India. Few noted conferences are Akashbani Sangeet Sammelan (Rohtak 2013), ITC Sangeet Sammelan (all over India), Swarganga Sangeet Mahotsab, Mumbai, Saptak, Ahmedabad etc. Across the globe, he has been performing in the Canada, US, UK, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, France, UAE, Oman, Bangladesh and many more countries.[citation needed]

TusharDutta is one of the most famous music trainers of a very popular programme of learning classical music and Nazrulgeeti in Government’s FM channel Gyanbani. He has also play backed for many Bengali Television series and Bengali Movie.

Awards and recognition

Tushar has already achieved many colourful feathers in his musical cap not only from India, but from abroad too. He was awarded the National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. 'Tushar is the "TOP GRADE" artiste in the All India Radio and awarded with the "Pandit" title.'
