[edit]Oleksandr O. Zub (Ukrainian: Олександр Олександрович Зуб) (born on August 03, 1974 in Lviv, Ukraine) - Ukrainian diplomat, Chancellor of the Expert's Communication Group of Public Diplomacy Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Peacekeeper veteran (1994-1995), UNPROFOR - the first United Nations peacekeeping force in Croatia and in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Yugoslav Wars.
Science writer of over 10 articles and publications on the issues of strategic analysis and political forecast, international relations and country studies as well as UN activity in different world's regions and conflictology.
Doctor of Philosophy in the sphere of politics. Member of Ukrainian Foreign Policy Association.
Biography
[edit]Born on August 03, 1974 in Lviv. Completed secondary education at № 55 Secondary School (with advanced study of mathematics).Сompulsory military service (1993-1995).
Graduated from Ivan Franko Lviv National University in 2000.
Began his professional career as Foreign Economic Relations Specialist, JSC "Institute of the Newest Technologies". In 2001 - employed by the International Office of Ivan Franko Lviv National University.
In 2006, following family's tradition of state servants, settled in Kyiv and began working for Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (Specialist and Attaché of the MFA Minister's Office).
In 2007 accepted proposal of 6th Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dr. Borys Tarasyuk (In Office - 4 February 2005 – 30 January 2007) to move for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Parliament of Ukraine) Secretariat and work as Assistant-Consultant for the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Dr. Borys Tarasyuk who also headed at that time a Committee on European Integration of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Continuing diplomatic service, in 2008 - appointed as Second Secretary for consular issues to the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Iraq.
In 2009 completed his tour of duty in Baghdad and continued as First Secretary in the MFA Spokesman Office.
From April 2010 - First Secretary of the Information Policy Department. in July, 2010 moved for First Western Europe Division of Third Territorial Department General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, functions & responsibility - development of bilateral relations of Ukraine with Austria and Switzerland.
In 2011 was appointed as First Secretary of the MFA Division of Interaction and Coordination with State Authorities.
Starting from 2012 - First Secretary for Consular Issues to the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Thailand, functions and responsibility - support and protection of ukrainian citizens as well as development of bilateral Legal basis (consular district - Thailand, Myanmar and Laos).
The most significant results of such activity was signing by Sides in June, 2017 Agreement on Mutual Cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine and the Office of the Attorney General of the Kingdom of Thailand, as well as interstate Treaty between the Kingdom of Thailand and Ukraine on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.
Completed his tour of duty in Bangkok, from September 2017 - First Secretary of the Crisis Management Division of Directorate General for consular service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, functions & responsibility - management of crisis situations system improvement, monitoring and response on crisis situations abroad as well as consular support and protection of Ukrainian citizens as well as Ukrainian seafarers who are under trials or sentenced abroad.
In July 2018 was promotes to Chancellor of the Crisis Management Division, MFA of Ukraine.
The consequent 2018 MFA results were:
- signed Memorandum on Cooperation with the Marine Transport Workers’ Trade Union of Ukraine aimed at supporting Ukrainian seafarers stranded abroad as a result of emergencies[1];
- supported establishment of Maritime Information Centers in Odessa, Kherson and Izmail.
- 64 Ukrainian seafarers who stranded abroad as a result of emergencies returned back home;
- 13 Ukrainains - victims of human trafficking abroad were successfully returned back home.
Due to MFA structure and staff changes, in March 2020 was transferred form the Crisis Management Division of Directorate General for Consular Service to the Expert's Communication Group of Public Diplomacy Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, functions & responsibility - mas-media communications.
Education, Scientific Degree
[edit]Higher Education. Graduated from Ivan Franko Lviv National University (2000). Science writer of over 10 articles and publications on the issues of strategic analysis and political forecast, international relations and country studies as well as UN activity in different world's regions and conflictology.
In 2007 - completed course - Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.
Doctor of Philosophy in the sphere of politics (2011).
The research work was devoted to the problem of development of the objective approach and particular definition of the terminological device of researches in the field of international relations forecasting.
With the assistance of the genesis and structure research as well as multidisciplinary methods functions both of qualitative and quantitative character which mutually supplement each other, depending on the analysis purposes, and necessity of use of such methods in the framework of the international relations forecasting methods system. The Trend Cycles Method which is based on the evolutionary dynamics analysis of the international political processes development in the past with the purpose of their possible projection in the future on the basis of the cycle's theory was also represented in this research work.
