AdventHealth Millenia is a non-profit hospital campus under construction in Orlando, Florida, United States on the site of the defuncted Holy Land Experience for AdventHealth.
History
[edit]On August 2, 2021, AdventHealth purchased the 15-acre Holy Land Experience from Trinity Broadcasting Network for $32 million.[1][2][3] On December 28, AdventHealth filed plans with Orlando to build on the former amusement park in two phases.[4] In early August 2022, AdventHealth changed it to three phases.[5]
On April 28, 2023, construction workers began to tear down the buildings at the former amusement park.[6][7] On June 12, the last buildings that were demolished at the defuncted amusement park were the colosseum and the scriptorium.[8][9]
In early November 2023, construction began on a 19,000-square-foot emergency department with 24 private patient rooms at a cost of $26 million.[10][11] On July 14, 2024, AdventHealth Millenia ER officially opened to patients, [12] the facility is next to Interstate 4.[13]
