Ricky Tucker played football for the University of Alabama from 1977 until 1980. He was a two time 2nd Team All-SEC defensive back and a member of the 1977 All-SEC Freshman team. He was apart of Alabama teams that won two National Titles ('78 & '79) and three SEC Conference Championships ('77, '78 & '79) He finished his career with 11 interceptions and 27 passed broken up. Tucker had a game saving interception against Georgia his freshman season and two interception game against Mississippi State as a sophomore. Eventually playing all four positions in the defensive secondary during his 4 years. An all around athlete, lead his high school basketball team to a state championship in Alabama in 1976. Played high school baseball and was a member of the track team.
