The Triple-I Corporation, more commonly known as Triple-I or III, is a technology consulting company headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., a suburb of Kansas City.

History[edit]

Founding - 1989[edit]

In the 1970’s, Triple-I found early success implementing some of the first concurrent real-time passenger reservation systems enabling passengers to book reservations simultaneously for the major airlines TWA, American Airlines, United Airlines, Eastern Air Lines and Pan Am. Triple-I also managed to develop and implement a number of leading-edge manufacturing, engineering and financial applications for the Ford Motor Company and General Motors across the United States. The company worked with GMAC and Associates Corporation of North America to develop and implement real-time, concurrent access financial systems.

Triple-I continued to build success through the 1980’s assisting with the development and implementation of numerous operating and financial systems required by the government’s break-up of AT&T. This lead to Bell Labs engaging Triple-I to help develop and implement enhanced systems for worldwide message switching.

The company was also engage in the 80’s by DuPont help to develop and install on-line process control systems for manufacturing plants throughout the United States in order to develop and maintain systems at the Savannah River National Laboratory in support of tritium and plutonium production, to handle hazardous materials and to find research talent for its research and development department.

The NCR Corporation enlisted Triple-I when it needed a business partner to lead an array of mission critical eServices projects to develop and execute a CRM services plan in order to enhance NCR’s software development methodologies and to evolve its eBusiness skills infrastructure.

1990 - 2010[edit]

In the 1990’s Triple-I assisted the Houston Independent School District (HISD) in replacing its legacy computer systems with a fully integrated SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, making HISD the first school district to successfully implement SAP R/3.

The company continued to stay on the cutting edge by helping Time Warner develop a state-of-the-art, full-service multimedia network capable of supporting fully-interactive voice, data and video services.

Triple-I also helped to develop Gear for Sports new customized reporting and enhanced reports and forms for its Oracle Manufacturing modules, including Work in Process, Inventory, Bills of Materials, Planning and Custom Modules – using Developer 2000, PL/SQL and TOAD.

Triple-I worked with the U. S. Army in the 2000’s on multiple projects. The first being to implement an enterprise-wide knowledge management program utilizing facilitated forums and the application of advanced-collaborative technologies.

Cessna engaged Triple-I to lead the Program and Project Management of its Larger Cabin Concept (LCC) Program to design, develop and build the largest business class plane that Cessna had ever built.

2011 - Today[edit]

The U. S. Army chose Triple-I to design, develop, implement and sustain their Multi-Source Assessment and Feedback (MSAF) leadership development application supporting all active duty and reserve Soldiers, and DOD civilians. The company was contracted again for the U. S. Army’s Combined Arms Support Command’s (CASCOM) Knowledge Management, SharePoint and Mobile Application program.

Today, Triple-I maintains multiple clients and projects that are more specific to the Midwest, particularly the Kansas City region.
