User:DoctorWho42/List of libraries that have disavowed the user drwho42
This is a list of libraries that have disavowed the user drwho42 from their Interlibrary loan (ILL) computer system ILLiad developed by Atlas Systems. drwho42 is requesting scans of articles (primarily listed in the Internet Speculative Fiction Database (ISFDB)) for references needed for literature articles.
Background[edit]
drwho42 (unrelated to other users registered under the same username) began using the ILLiad system via Arkansas State University (ASU) in Jonesboro, Arkansas for articles on New Wave science fiction stories and stories by author John Sladek. Since then, they primarily used it via California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) for more of the same but lost access upon graduating. The article Twentieth-Century Science-Fiction Writers was written with references requested via a friend, but they hope this technique is more direct. So far, 33 libraries have disavowed drwho42.
Definition[edit]
"Disavowing" refers to the removal of an user's access to the ILLiad web interface. It automatically cancels all open requests made in the user's name. Disavowing then sends an e-mail to user stating that they have been disavowed.[1]
