Shifty Schiff is a term that has become synonymous with a Democrat U.S. Congressman Adam SchiffAdam_Schiff of California. It is a label, moniker and nickname that refers to the Congressman that was popularized by President Donald Trump who continues to use it to brand him on Twitter[1], and at every opportunity during his speeches, statements and rallies.
While the term became known in October of 2019[2] because of President Trump's continued usage, it has been around and in use much longer than that.
The term 'Shifty Schiff' was coined by Canadian writer and blogger, Queen Sithole, in 2017[3]. It was first used on Twitter after she twitted about Rep. Adam Schiff and used the hashtags: #ShiftySchiff #ShiftyAdamSchiff. The term circulated for a while on social media before it finally made its first debut on a blog in 2018 on four different articles. Two of the articles were dated February[4] 8[5], 2018; one dated February 16[6], 2018; and another dated March 23[7], 2018 respectively.
