Noam (Worku) Ijigu (born December 29, 2005) also known as Nøam,[2] is an Israeli musician, and YouTuber. He is best known for making short comedy/music shorts on YouTube,Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, Also makes music on Soundcloud.
Early life
[edit]Ijigu was raised in Kiryat Yam In Israel, the son of an Ethiopian-Israeli mother and an Ethiopian father, along with his two siblings, His oldest sister Adise (Adisalem) and his young brother Avishai.[3] He is currently attending High School and playing music on his iconic Clarinet for 8 years.[4] He started playing the clarinet by accident at the age of 8, after being cheered on by his parents especially his mother, Noam made it a hobby and now, A part of his life.
Career

Noam's first encounter with music was in 2014. As a young elementary student, Noam and his fellow classmates had been exposed to music through Kiryat Yam's project that allows every child at the age of 8 and higher to participate in music activities. At first, Noam was actually interested in drums but couldn't find a teacher for it. So after searching for some time, he meets the saxophone teacher who teaches him for a couple of months he remembers that he wanted to play drums so he kept searching for him, and then he met oboe teacher Moshe (Moses) Zlotnik. he proceeded to teach him the clarinet and make him fall in love with It. Noam Has Been performing in the conservatory for 5 years by then. He was offered to be a part of the Kiryat Yam Reserve Orchestra and he accepted. At first, he was nervous but with time he felt so connected with the band. In 2018 After performing in front of the conservatory manager he was stunned by his performance and immediately offered him the chance to join the Kiryat Yam Representative Orchestra and Noam accepted. Noam as a Ethiopian his performances were out breaking so they offered him to join The Chamber Orchestra, Clarinet Quartet and in order to join them, Noam got to own a bass clarinet.
Noam was featured with Maya Petrov, a friend of Noam's, she's a violin player who went to perform with Noam at the IDF Martyrs' Remembrance Day Ceremony.[5]
Noam took every opportunity to show his skills and took every chance to be in front of a crowd. Ijigu was the opener for the Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony in Kiryat Yam's Cultural Center in 2022.[6]
To this day, Noam continues his performance and makes a musical journey and according to him, He loves it with all of his heart and he'd like to be a full artist by 18.
