Arkodyuti Saha (born July 4, 1996) is a Community Evangelist and entrepreneur. He is currently in the Batch of 2018 at SRM University, Chennai and pursuing Bachelors in Computer Science. Apart from being a full time undergraduate student, he is a Mentor for Mozilla Clubs across India. He is also working with Google Inc. as a Mentor for CodeIn Programme and is an active member of the Scrollback Community. Currently, he is working on web literacy in association with the Mozilla India Community and conducts frequent sessions in schools and non-government organisations across India.

Early life[edit]

Arkodyuti was born in 1996 in Siliguri, West Bengal. He is the son of banker Late Shanti Ranjan Saha and his mother, Smt. Suvra Saha is a school teacher. He is the only child. He studied in Don Bosco School,Siliguri where he developed a knack for music. He took up Science in the eleventh standard when he got transferred to Delhi Public School, Siliguri. He graduated from high school in 2014 and got admitted to the Computer Science branch at SRM University, Chennai.

Career[edit]

Arkodyuti joined SRM University in 2014. At the university, he, along with a few friends, started hanging out after college and discussing new ideas, observations and innovations. This gave to the birth of CHiPSET – his first effort towards free flow of ideas and information amongst technology enthusiasts. CHiPSET - Collaboration of Hackers Innovators Programmers Script writers Entrepreneurs and Technocrats.

In August 2014, he was exposed to the open source community for the first time at the “Mozilla Maker party”, Chennai. He joined the Mozilla Open Source Community and soon he became the Mentor for Mozilla Clubs across India. He is also active in Google Developers Group and also works under Google Inc. as Mentor for CodeIn Programme.

In 2016, he started a new initiative – Helloweb – where with the help of fellow Mozillians, put in their collective efforts to help children explore the internet. Helloweb has conducted events across India including Kolkata, Siliguri, Chennai, Gujarat and Mumbai,Rewa. Though interactive sessions, workshops, fun games, Helloweb tries to instigate young minds to have a more technologically driven mind set. They have been able to reach 2500 children as of July 2016.


Personal life[edit]

He loves music, food and travelling. He is often tagged a “workaholic” amongst his work groups. He is currently single.
