The dust devil was first sighted south of B & D Concrete Footers. It quickly grew in size and headed on a eastward path, tracking through the Mayflower residential division with no damage save for blown around pieces of litter and small debris along with twigs. It continued eastward, passing through a office building and causing minor damage to parked cars. After passing through a few homes, the dust devil entered the western part of Etna. It began to increase in size and strength as it caused some minor tree damage and a shingle or two peeling off. The dust devil passed out of the completely residential zone and entered downtown Etna, where it peaked in width and strength, peaking at 70 mph and 0.34 miles wide. Tree branches fell down along with minor roof and siding damage and complete loss of visibility. The core of the dust devil nearly passed over the Southwest Licking School District; thankfully everyone had left just minutes earlier. The dust devil quickly shrinked in size from the behemoth it once was, and began weakening. It left Etna, curved southward and parelled a small road before crossing Interstate 70 and dissipating. All of the injuries were hospitalizations caused by inhaling dust, especially behind the dust devil. The massive dust devil even left a dust cloud that lowered visibillity for around an hour across the region.
