Language Hunting is a system whose purpose is to train individuals and communities in language acquisition and revitalization, through a system of language game rules. Though there are dozens of minor rules, the system is governed by 5 master rules: Alive, Fluency, Signal Strength, Limit, and Set-up . Language Hunters is a 501(c)3 non-profit which curates the system of Language Hunting.
Language Hunting is a fork of the "Where Are Your Keys?" and is similar to that system in many ways. For example, it takes advantage of gestures based on American Sign Language to support accelerated learning and memory of spoken language.
Language Hunting has been used in instruction of Chinuk Wawa, American Sign Language, Irish Gaelic, Mandarin Chinese, German, Russian, and Spanish.
