Hi. I am Waynem, a linguistics enthusiast who lives in a small village in New York. I enjoy all types of foreign music from traditional styles like folk songs and military hymns to contemporary genres like rock. I have the most passion for music of Slavic and Turkic origin, but I'm eager to listen to anything that is new and interesting. With English as my native language, I spend a great deal of time researching foreign languages, independently or with others. I am attempting to adopt the Stoic philosophy, but it's a demanding task to maintain that method throughout life. I try to keep an open mind about life, and I think it is rather shallow that mankind preoccupies itself with banal things like political views, computer specifications, and test scores.
This whole mess is taking place on a minuscule stage on the infinitesimally small clod of Earth that we know as our temporary home, within the overarching context of an unimaginably huge, yawning cosmos. What difference does this little unpredicted sideshow ultimately make? -- Tom Morris, The Stoic Art of Living
I am creating my own alphabet. It is a work in progress, but it already has become quite complex. It incorporates phonetics as well as meaning -- it is almost like a language in itself. To the right, you can see a sample of it. The script has been influenced by the Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic scripts, but many of the more recently-made charcters were completely original. A few have said that it resembles the Georgian script.
