"Know it all Ed" is the first episode of the second season of the animated comedy television series Ed, Edd n Eddy. It originally aired on Cartoon Network in the United States on November 26, 1999 as a half-hour together with "Dear Ed". The series follows Ed (voiced by Matt Hill), Edd "Double D" (voiced by Samuel Vincent) and Eddy (voiced by Tony Sampson), three adolescent boys collectively known as "the Eds", unofficially lead by Eddy, who live in a suburban cul-de-sac.
In "Know it all Ed", the Eds find a box of turkey basters in the junkyard and re-sell them as imported Canadian squirt guns. Series creator Danny Antonucci directed the episode and co-wrote it with Jono Howard. It was met with positive reactions from reviewers. It is available as part of various DVD and digital releases.
Plot
[edit]The Eds discover a box full of turkey basters while fooling around and having fun at the junkyard. Edd tries to explain to Ed and Eddy what these are. Ed claims that these are alien exploratory probes dropped off to conserve fuel during a mutiny of pulsating brain mutants, while Eddy claims they are imported Canadian squirt guns. Edd is annoyed while Ed and Eddy missuse and fool around with the basters, and suddenly Eddy comes up with the scam re-selling the squirt guns to their cul-de-sac peers.
The Eds find the children in the lane, playing in a make-do bowling alley. The Eds demonstrate their product and the children are highly impressed and stampede towards the sales counter at "Double D's House of Import-Exports", buying the guns and other gadgets, filling up Eddy's jar with quarters. Eddy decides that they must keep the profit coming, and Eddy becomes "Marshall Eddy" and Edd "Double Deputy D". The two walk around the cul-de-sac, "ticketing" the children for the most minor, made up offenses. The fed-up children refuse to pay their fines; suddenly, Jonny and Plank's runaway wagon bounds through the lane and crashes into a tree. a tied-up Jonny crawls out, saying that they were set upon by something evil that sprayed them with perfume. Eddy claims that this happened because of the children refusing to pay their fees, and the children quickly cough up money to cover it. Eddy is happy until his money jar is ripped from his hands by Lee Kanker. The Eds reach into their pockets for his squirt guns, but find that they have been stolen. The Kanker Sisters, also the outlaws who plagued Jonny and Plank, arrive. The Eds try to run away, but the Kankers lasso and spray them with perfume before leaving.
Eddy swears revenge and the Eds free themselves and head out to the construction site, where are a battle between the Eds and the Kankers. The Eds try to squirt the Kankers with water, but when they run out of "ammunition", release they hadn't hit the Kankers even once. The Eds are frightened, but when the Kankers stop firing, Eddy is happy to see that the Kankers only hit their feet. Unfortunately, the guns were loaded rubber cement, glueing the Eds feet to the floor, rendering them powerless against the Kankers' kissing.
