I have been a registered user of the German Wikipedia branch since July2006. At first I only corrected a few small errors or typos in the articles of other people when I noticed them while searching Wikipedia. Registration to the English Wikipedia is quite recent in June2008 (with the same user name).
As a long time fan of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine I was always fascinated with the abilities of the computer on board Enterprise to present the current knowledge of mankind easily and free of charge. Wikipedia appoximates this Science-Fiction dream as far as our present technology permits.
In my area of expertise as a chemist, especially within the realm of chemicals, I like to be more active and contribute a few articles in the near future.
Although I was not born in Bremen, I like the city very much and have been living there since the beginning of my studies in chemistry in 1977.
