21minutes ″Excellence, Sustainability, Innovation″

[edit]

21minutes[3] is a conference created by Patrizio Paoletti and organized by InformaAzione that has began in 2009. The purpose of this multidisciplinary conference was to create an experiencing path which enabled the audience to learn and to learn to learn through life.

″21minutes is a test bench of ideas that brings together people who have had a vision of the whole and have achieved the reward of self-accomplishment: the result and the beauty of the journey.″ P. Paoletti

It assembled together the different knowledge, and skills, acquired by truly successful people along their life, and during their struggle to achieve their goals. Successfulness is intended by the creator and chairman of the event as the ability to make things happen in one's own life, achieving the comprehended and desired goals.

The first four editions from 2009 to 2012, have seen the participation of 20 speakers, plus the chairman, that have been invited to talk for 21 minutes about the values, motivations, instruments, and relationships that have brought them to achieve their goals.

The 20 speakers are grouped in four macro-areas of knowledge, namely Philosophy, Art, Science, Economy (Ph.A.S.E.), presented by the author during an interview in 2012 through the following words:

″The process is: Philosophy that is the "love for", the love for the vision, the love for knowledge, the love for man; that later becomes sign, art, technology; but also that special ability to make old things new, changing their order, reorganizing them and therefore truly innovating.

And while this extraordinary process, that is Art, is carried out, it reveals us that our knowledge is limited and that it is therefore necessary to investigate even more, it is necessary to investigate deeply. And this becomes Science.

And science partly reassures us and partly invites us to go further, and to go further we must understand the law of Economy, which is the law of mutual maintenance.″[4] P. Paoletti

In ????2012??? a book written by P. Paoletti was published in Italian with the title 21minuti I sapere dell'eccellenza - Le idee salveranno l'Europa (21minutes Knowledge of Excellence - Ideas will save Europe) with the purpose of presenting the knowledge collected during these editions, focusing the attention on the Ten Golden Rules remodeled on the experiences that were shared by the speakers.

21minutesNext, the 5th edition of the conference which has taken place in November 2013 in Assisi, was centered on the idea of Inner Design Technology, giving the instruments and the techniques to forge our inner world. The goal was to connect the audience to it's deep aspirations and the individual capacities for a personal and collective evolution, after the testimonies given by all the speakers of the previous editions. In this last two days edition the four macro-areas (Ph.A.S.E.) were represented by one speaker each.

″Resilience is a universal capacity which allows a person, group or community to prevent minimize overcome the damiging effect of adversity. Building resilience is the ability to adapt well to hardship, crisis, trauma, tragedy, threats″[5] M. Herczog

Luca Prasso CEO and founder of Curious Hat and digital creator of Shrek represented Art as a way of finding new ways for experiencing and interacting with the world in the educative and creative process, so that the sign becomes a way of interior investigation, has described through his words:

″I saw that these devices could put in the hands of the children instruments of creation and of creative expression. [...] We are guided by two important ideas, that were clear for us since the first days [...].

The First concept is that we would like the child to be constantly connected with the real world around him. [...]

The answers and the stimuli to the questions that we have and to the things that we want to create are all around us in the real world. So the possibility to bring these children in this world through these devices, when possible, is very important for us.

The second concept is that of the possibility of creating new interactions between the child and the adult. And this is derived by the observation on how these devices are separating these generations more then joining them.″[6] L. Prasso

Moshe Bar director of the Gonda Multidisciplinary Brain Research Center at Bar-Ilan University, representing Science, has taught the audience the importance of introducing a simple innovation in the world that surrounds us, going beyond our usual references, experimenting and finding new, more real, because verified, references:

″Our primary role is to survive, so we have to maintain a certain level of protection and of familiarity, but as we have said before we cannot move forward without breaking the rules seeing what happens. As for children; one doesn't respect the rules, just a bit, discovering what are the consequences. Then he keeps breaking the rules more and more until he is able to see something new.″[7] M. Bar

The last speaker has been Rosy Canale businesswoman whom has opposed herself to the 'Ndrangheta, representing Economy with her will to improve society with concrete actions.

″There is no bigger economy than that of the heart, because life gushes from it. That small creature that beats inside us unfailingly each day of our life, [..] and everything is built around this heart.″[8] R. Canale
