The Open 5.70 is an International One-Design keelboat class.

History[edit]

The Open 5.70 has been designed by the French Naval architecte, Jean-Marie Finot, in collaboration with the Shipbuilder, Phileas, in 2002. The objective of this new design was to create a fast, fun and safe boat for one-design racing for a wide range of people. It is one of the most popular small keelboats accross Europe. it has been selected by the French Federation of Sailing for junior racing selection.

The Open 5.70 is being produced by Phileas in France since 2002 and by Open Sailing USA in California since 2009.
