Patrick Driscoll (born June 28, 1988) (known by his stage name Blank Banshee[1][2], currently stylized as BLΛNK BΛNSHEE[1]) is a Canadian electronic music producer from Vancouver,[3] British Columbia, Canada.[4] He amassed a dedicated cult following[5] with the release of his debut studio album Blank Banshee 0 in 2012[6][7], which is of the vaporwave genre.[8] He released his second album Blank Banshee 1 in 2013, which The Fader called "a masterwork of the new digital psychedelia".[9] On October 1, 2016, Blank Banshee announced through his Facebook[10] page that his third album had been completed. The album, titled MEGA[11], was released on October 10, 2016.[12][13][12]

Often dubbed as "post-vaporwave"[14][15], Blank Banshee's music builds on the basic premise of the vaporwave[16] genre by blending many of its elements with trap music.[17] Blank Banshee[18] also maintains a somewhat elusive presence; many of his personal details are unknown, and he often appears masked at live performances and in photographs. In 2016, his song 'Teen Pregnancy' was part of an internet meme called Simpsonwave.[19] His music has appeared in documentaries and media, including the Netflix series Unplanned America.
