Article Evaluation (class assignment)

The article I chose on Wikipedia is titled "Copyright." There are a lot of things to be noted in this article and they are listed as follows:

• I felt that everything in the article was related to the article, but one thing that distracted me was the introduction. The introduction was so long that it made me kind of skip the article to the main body.
• On the whole, the article has a pretty neutral standpoint but one thing that i kind of found biased was that whenever there is discussion of eligibility and copyrights, most of the writers bring up Disney. Likewise, this article talks about Mickey Mouse, and the way the character could be used, without being blamed for the copyright.
• Most of the information in this article is pretty precise, but the "international copyright treaties" are a little too overrepresented. They talk about treaties from 1887, only to mention that they were not implemented until a hundred years later.
• Most of the citations work except for two or three, and yes, they do support the claims made in the article.
• Yes, most of the facts are backed up with reliable sources. Let's say there is a rule or law about copyright, the citation states the book in which the law is mentioned or published. Since the reference is just the law, i feel like it is not biased at all.
• Most of the information is up to date and the information includes stuff from the nineteenth century to latest stuff. Also, the page was last edited on October 6th, 2017.
• This article does have a talk page. Some people contributed to the talk page by mentioning what details about morals could be added, some people talk about adding new laws or amending the current ones, and some people even asked questions about heir own work: if what they have done was lawful under the copyright law or not.
• Yes, this article is a part of a lot of WikiProjects, including WikiProject Law, WikiProject Economics, WikiProject Libraries, WikiProject Law Enforcement and others.
• When we were discussing this article in class, most of the students were presenting their views against the copyright laws, and it was like they want it to be lenient. But the article states the stuff Black and White, there is no grey area.

Ontario Reign

Citizens Business Bank Arena

The Ontario Reign are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) which began play in the 2015–16 season. Based in Ontario, California and affiliated with the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings, Being founded in 2001 the team plays its home games at the Citizens Business Bank Arena. The franchise is a relocation of the former Manchester Monarchs AHL franchise when several other franchises created a Pacific Division in 2015.The colors of the team are black and grey and is owned by Anschutz Entertainment Group. Ontario Reign managed to get majority wins in their last two seasons, from 2015 to 2016 and from 2016 to 2017. The current roster of the team mostly comprises of players from United States and Canada, with one of the players being from Finland.

The Reign replaced the ECHL team of the same name, which played from 2008 until 2015, after which they moved to Manchester, New Hampshire, to play as the Manchester Monarchs.

Ontario Reign has ghe team plays in Citizens Business Bank Arena and had sponsorship all over the digital boards while they are playing. Few of the famous sponsors of the team include Toyota, Mained popularity relatively fast because they only started 3 years ago. There are many sponsors that advertise their products and businesses when Ontario Reign is playing. TcDonald's, Landmark and Verizon. These multi-million-dollar businesses have been known to sponsor big teams in the past. Since Ontario Reign is a relatively new team, getting big names on the sponsorship board is a big achievement.

Notable Players

2015/2016

During the 2015 - 2016 season, the best player according to the team statistics was Sean Backman. Backman played as the right winger position for the team and played all 68 games of the season. In the 68 games, he was the most successful player, scoring 21 goals and assisting 34 of them. He got a total of 55 points for that season.

2016/2017

During this season, T. J. Hensick was the star player, with 16 goals to his name and 36 assists. Hensick played in the center position and got 52 points for that season. Hensick was consistent, playing 67 games in the season.

2017/2018

This season is still on going with only 11 games played thus far. The best player for this season was Michael Mersch, who plays in the left-wing position. Mersch has scored 4 goals so far and made 6 assists. He has 10 points so far.

• Justin Auger: Auger is a Canadian player, who was born in 1994. He plays for the Ontario Reign as a forward. Auger's first game was against Waterloo Siskins and was drafted by the OHL in 2010 at the age of 16.
• Jonny Brodzinski: Brodzinski is an American player who was born in 1993. Brodzinski got drafted for the team in 2013 along with his younger brother.
• Jack Campbell: Campbell is an American player who was born in 1992 and plays as the Goaltender for Ontario Reign. He was one of the top goaltenders to be eligible for the draftand got drafted in 2010.
• Andrew Crescenzi: Crescenzi is a Canadian player, who plays in the center for Ontario Reign. He is under contract with the LA Kings.
• Jamie Devane: Devane is a famous Canadian professional ice hokey player, who was born in 1991. He is one of the few players who are under contract with Reign, rather than LA Kings.
• Stepan Falkovsky: Falkovsky is the only Belarusian player on the team. He was born in 1996 and plays as a defenceman for the team. Stepan Falkovsky made his debut for ice hokey at the age of 16.
• Kevin Gravel: Gravel is an American player, who was born in 1992 and plays as a defenceman for Ontario Reign. He was selected in the 5th round of the 2010 NHL draft.
• Timothy James Hensick: Hensick is an American player, who was born in 1985 and plays as a right winger for Ontario Reign. Hensick was drafted in the 88th round of the 2005 draft.
• Sam Herr: Herr is an American player who plays as the left winger for the team.
• Bokondji Imama: Imama is a Canadian player, who also plays as the left winger for the team.
• Keegan Iversion: Iversion is an American player who plays as a Center for the team.
• Paul LaDue: LaDue is an American player, who was born in 1992 and plays as a defenceman for the team. LaDue was drafted in the 6th round of the 2012 NHL draft.
• Zach Leslie: Leslie is a Canadian player, who plays as a defenceman for the team.
• Alex Lintuniemi: Lintuniemi is the only Finnish player in the team, who plays as a defenceman.
• Matt Luff: Luff is a Canadian player, who plays as a right winger for the team and is under contract with LA Kings.

Seasons

2015 - 2016

The team performed well in the 2015/2016 season. It played 68 games and won 44 of them and losing 19. The team ended with 93 points and 1st position in the Pacific. The team was also successful in the first two rounds of the playoffs. Reign won 3-1 against San Jose Barracuda in the first round. They also won 4-1 against San Diego Gulls in the 2nd round. The team failed in the 3rd round, losing 0-4 to Cleveland Monsters.

2016 - 2017

The team was comparatively less successful in the 2016/2017 season. For this season, the team played 68 games and won 36 of them. This time, the team lost 21 games and was placed on 3rd ranking in the Pacific. The team lost 2-3 against San Diego Gulls in the first round of the playoffs, which led to their knockout.

2017 - 2018

The season is still ongoing.

Junior Reign

The Junior Reign is a variety of different ice hockey leagues for children through the Ontario Reign, founded by Ben and Joyce Frank. Its intentions are for children to learn the game of ice hockey by utilizing games, coaches, and personal trainers[1]. There are three training camps offered to further the training and the teaching of their young players.[2] They have multiple leagues for children of all ages, boys and girls. The Junior Reign has two main locations with one in Riverside California and the other in Carlsbad California. The Jr. Reign is the official youth team for the Ontario Reign after shedding their name "Wildcats" in 2017.[3] USA hockey's American Developmental Model, A positive coaching alliance, and a unique and united structure are the main principles that the the Junior Reign base their organization on
