Twenty years after independence,the position of Namibian Women remain a challenge. Although the Namibian constitution guarantees equal rights for Women and recognizes thatWomen in Namibia need to be encouraged and enabled to pay a full, equal and effective role in the political, social, economical, and cultural life of the of the nation. since independence, the Namibia government has committed itself to upliftment and empowerment of Women, demonstrated by the implemention of various legslation interventions and the estableshment of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare. After independence of this country Otillie Haufiku 21 years old established her company called Ndeya Holding which producing peanut butter.Otillie use the idea that she got from television programmer on Etunda Irrigation Scheme in Omusati Region and 80 percent of Namibia's ground nuts are exported to South Africa. She usually sold her peanut butter to frieds,neighbours and relatives eventhough the big business is happening at the Biomarket in Klein Windhoek every saturday.further more Otillie use her profits to buy machine for grinding the nunts into a paste. The big challenge that she got through her procces of growing nunts is to scure founding and training on how to start and grow a business but her mother and her aunt use to encouranged her on whatever faced obstacles. Otillie went to Ministry of Safety and Security with the aim to supply government school hostel and penetrate the retail market. Finally she encouraging Namibiain people to establishe they own business and with her own words she conclude that "It takes hard work and courange. It doesn't happen overnight and does not come on a silver platter. But don't give up, no matter what. As they say, where there is a will there is a way!"
