Gearóid Seamus O'Meara was born on the 23rd of March 1994. Over the course of his life he has excelled in many areas. Gearóid stands out particularly on the sports field. He plays corner back in both Hurling and Gaelic football. At the age of 3 Gearóid joined St. Brigids Gaa Club in Castleknock. Over his career span with them he has won 2 Dublin championships and 1 Leinster championships. In 2003 at the age of 8, whilst playing for the under 9 team, Gearóid won a Dublin and Leinster championship. Then, in 2010, he won the Dublin championship single handedly at the age of 16 playing for the minor team. He was later offered a place on the senior team but had to turn it down in order to continue his studies as a budding doctor.
