Hello! I'm your friendly neighborhood Wikipedia Editor! Wikipedia is a website that has mostly accurate information, and I would very much like to help keep the information accurate and have the articles as user friendly as possible. Some of my personal interests include music, television and film, videogames, and reading Wikipedia articles.
Do I Know You?
[edit]I doubt it, but you might know some of the articles I've edited. Wikipedia is essentially the World's Largest Encyclopedia, so it's entirely possible that I've edited an article you read. Due to the nature of this website, anything that I do on this website may or may not still be there, for better and worse. Hopefully it's for the better. Regardless, here is a list of some of the articles that I've worked on.
- Cathy Cavadini – While I was on YouTube, I caught wind that Cathy Cavadini, famous for voicing Blossom from The Powerpuff Girls, had also done voicework for the 2018 videogame Lego The Incredibles, particularly Brainfreezer, an ice cream themed villainess created for the game. If the user from the YouTube comments section is right, then Cathy did indeed voice Brainfreezer. While I have no proof that Brainfreezer was voiced by Cathy, I did check the game's credits and found that she did indeed provided some voice work for the game. It may be an obscure role, but it's still a role she had.
- Guardians of the Galaxy (soundtrack) – A minor edit, but still an edit. I found that the link to Blue Swede's cover of Hooked on a Feeling only lead to the general article and not the specific cover. I think this article marked the first time I was able to link to a particular section of another article. This also marked the first time someone gave me some bubble tea. Thanks for the bubble tea, Safety Cap!
- Play with Me (song) – Turns out that the article mentioned its appearance in the Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure soundtrack and didn't link to the article about the movie. Now readers can go and read about the movie and its most excellent soundtrack.
- Secret Magic Control Agency – My first noteworthy edit. Partway through watching Secret Magic Control Agency on Netflix, I grew curious as to what I was getting myself into. At the time, Wikipedia had nothing more than the premise of the film under the section labeled Plot. When I finished watching the movie, I decided to take it upon myself to update the plot section. Was it my finest work? Well, the 'summary' was a rather lengthy one. When I try to keep track of the plot, I have a bit of a hard time deciphering what is actually relevant and what can be trimmed. For example, the cookie Corgi was mentioned a bit more than it probably should, yet I kept it in because that's what was in the movie. Because this was one of my first major edits, I took a little pride in that and kept monitoring the page to see how the summary changed. That, and I enjoyed the movie and thought it deserved to have an accurate Wikipedia article.
- Thunder Force (film) – Another movie article whose plot I filled in. Like Secret Magic Control Agency, I was curious about its plot. People were ragging on the movie for being not that good, but nobody bothered to mention the story for some reason. There were very few specifics about what was so bad about the movie other than "Movie not funny". I was kind of curious if it was something the plot did wrong. Of course, I ended up watching the movie and thought that it was dull with a bit of wasted potential. I could try to elaborate on what could be done to improve the movie, but this is not the place for that. I transcribed the plot, left out the part of the double agent because the double agent didn't really do much for the plot aside from that one thing that could have been hand waved, and updated the Wikipedia article. Again, the summary might be a little lengthy, but I can't quite figure out how to trim it down properly.
- Zathura: A Space Adventure – Not sure if this is my favorite movie, but I do love this movie. While I don't recall if I created this account before I edited the plot, I do recall seeing that the article implied that the Zorgons never left the house alone once Lisa woke up and thinking, That's not how it happened in the movie. I added the tidbit where the Zorgons came back after Lisa woke up, stole the game, and then left the house alone before Danny and Walter light the house on fire to attract the Zorgons so they could get the game back. That was quickly removed from the plot summary.
