Born in 1984 in Ogikubo, Suginami-ku, Tokyo. After moving to Nagaokakyo City in Kyoto Prefecture and Hong Kong during the period of British rule for his father's work, he moved to Kodaira City, Tokyo. In 1997, he entered Musashi Junior High School, a private junior high and high school for boys in Nerima Ward, Tokyo, which is also known as the three boys' junior high schools, and joined the baseball club. After being yelled at by the baseball club adviser teacher and atrophied, he began to be teased by his classmates and developed into a fierce bullying accompanied by rants and violence, and the bullying continued for a long time from junior high school to high school. rice field.

In that experience, at the age of 17, he started writing tanka, inspired by the poet Machi Tawara, who happened to come to a nearby bookstore at a book publishing event co-authored with Wahei Tatematsu[1][2]. In the poetry section of the Asahi Shimbun, the poet Yoshimi Kondo picked up "It's in a trash basket and if you have a bag, it's mine." There is also a tanka poem about the experience of bullying at that time, such as "The Screaming of the Cage."

"Kashu Kassoro" that was about to be published was taken over by the bereaved family, and preparations were made for publication such as Kenya Hagihara, a younger brother and guitarist, conducting full publicity activities on SNS etc., and the official schedule will be on December 13th[10]. Was announced on Twitter, and "Tanka Poetry Collection" was published by the Kadokawa Culture Promotion Foundation on December 25, 2017, and was released on the Kadokawa Shoten label on December 26[11].

In the field of tanka, unlike general book publishing methods, it is customary for the author to publish at his own expense regardless of award history or name recognition, and the circulation is at most 100 to 500[12][13], but tanka and haiku The first edition of 1500 copies was published by the bereaved family at their own expense under the support of the Kadokawa Culture Promotion Foundation[14], which is a public interest foundation that supports the project. The poet is quoted from the commentary by the poet Takayuki Saegusa, who was studying under Shinichiro Hagihara, and the band of the book is quoted from Machi Tawara's recommendation, which triggered Shinichiro Hagihara to start tanka, and an email addressed to an acquaintance. "I sing. To present a way of life that no one can deny."

  • "Gravity and Grace" A work produced in 2020 by shadow puppet artist Satomi Kono . The runway prepared for you is made with the concept of "You only have to pick up the wings"  .[31]

Evaluation / episode[edit]

  • He also likes French symbolist poems such as Stéphane Mallarmé and Paul Verlaine , and appears in his works [32]. His graduation thesis at Waseda University was about Shuji Terayama[33] .
  • Takashi Okai , who has been known for his avant-garde tanka since he was 19 years old, has been taken up as a poet who should be noted now  . He was described as a skillful person with a typical style [34][35].
  • Takayuki Saegusa , the presiding officer of the Tanka Poetry, in which Shinichiro Hagihara participated , that when he read the manuscript of the Tanka Poetry Collection, it had already been completed without any modification. I wrote later in the explanation of the runway.
  • The following remains as part of the refusal email when invited to the alumni association by a high school teacher  [36][37]. "I've been thinking about it lately. No matter how I think about it, there are actually people who come across situations that I don't understand. But I'm impressed when I see them surviving powerfully. Because it has an unprecedented brilliance, so I think I'm singing. To present a life that no one can deny. "This email is a catch phrase of the early songbook runway belt. Was also quoted.
  • Kosaku Okumura , who has been friends since his teens through tanka and poetry , says he was a kind-hearted young man who hated to hurt others. Regarding tanka, unlike the tanka that is sung in ordinary spoken language, in the early days, the main theme was literary tanka and mixed tanka, and from later years, the main theme was complete colloquial tanka. It is evaluated that he was a poet who made it into[38]  .
  • Hiroiki Ariyoshi , an entertainer, learned about the songbook runway on NHK News Watch 9 and was interested in tanka, so he started a tanka corner on the late-night radio program " SUNDAY NIGHT DREAMER ", which he personalizes. .. The publisher Kadokawa Shoten presented the songbook runway to the program, but Hiroiki Ariyoshi had already purchased it, so it was a gift for viewers.
  • The poet Sumi Konno says that he was writing tanka one after another with an unconventional creativity. She also praises her for being so enthusiastic about making the songbook runway that she wasn't overwhelmed by others, and at the same time she was capable. She also did not dye her own painful memories, she said in an interview with the Mainichi Shimbun and NHK that it was a songbook with the voiceless voice of society[39] .
  • In the 2018 NHK News Watch 9 feature, some tanka poems that Shinichiro Hagihara wrote when he was a teenager or when he died were introduced, and his bag was thrown away in the trash can of the classroom. There is also a tanka poem about the state of bullying.
  • Since the release of Tanka Poetry Collection, his younger brother and guitarist Kenya Hagihara has been conducting public relations activities regarding Shinichiro Hagihara and Tanka Poetry Collection through the media and SNS[40]. Political critic Kang Sang-jung gave a lecture on the Tanka Poetry Collection in Takahama City , saying, "Shinichiro Hagihara would have been a terrorist without tanka." He argued that he was a typical person . Also , in a TV interview with KBS , he said that he was a very talented and kind brother, and he answered, "No matter how stupid I was, I think I had the intention to crawl up with tanka." Regarding the tanka song, he said, "While I can't change the current situation myself, I think it means that we will do our best, although they are both irregular." [41] When it was decided to make it into a movie, he commented to the media, "I am convinced that his brother will make a name for himself in the history of literature." [42]
  • Machi Tawara has the depth of humanity of Shinichiro Hagihara, where the experience of bullying and non-regular labor does not become an attack or resentment to others, but continues to write tanka by snuggling up to the weak. It is evaluated that the Somon song is simple and the words are used deeply and it is touching. Also, at the party after the tanka competition award ceremony, when I talked with Hagiwara, I was told that I was the one who started tanka, and I was very happy, but later said that it was the first and last conversation.[43]
