Piolo Jose Nonato Pascual (born January 12, 1977) is a Filipino actor, singer, and film producer. Prolific in film and television in the Philippines since the 2000s, he is known for his work as a leading man in romantic dramas. He is the recipient of numerous accolades, including a Gawad Urian, a Luna Award, two Golden Screen Awards, two FAMAS Awards, and four Star Awards. Pascual is the co-founder of Spring Films, a production company that has produced various films, including Kita Kita (2017) and The Halt (2019), which have all been screened internationally.

Born in Malate, Manila, Pascual began his acting career playing supporting roles in the films The Vizconde Massacre Story (1993) and Batang PX (1997). He had his breakthrough as the villain in the drama series Esperanza (1997) and its 1999 film adaptation, which marked the first of his many successful collaborations with actress Judy Ann Santos. His first starring role in television came with the drama series Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako (1998). Pascual received critical acclaim for his performance as a tortured student activist during the Philippine martial law imposition in the historical drama Dekada '70 (2002), which won him a Gawad Urian, FAMAS, Luna, Star, and Metro Manila Film Festival Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Pascual found commercial success with the romantic dramas Milan (2004), Don't Give Up on Us (2006), and Paano Kita Iibigin (2007). For his work on these films, he received three FAMAS Award nominations for Best Actor. His roles in the supernatural series Lobo (2008), the comedy series remake Lovers in Paris (2009), and the adventure series Noah (2010) established him as a leading actor on primetime television. He also starred in critically acclaimed films, including the neo-noir action thriller On the Job (2013) and the historical fantasy drama A Lullaby to the Sorrowful Mystery (2016), which premiered at the 66th Cannes Film Festival and 66th Berlin International Film Festival, respectively; the latter film earning the Alfred Bauer Prize. In addition to acting, Pascual has released three studio albums and a soundtrack album, which garnered him an Awit Award for his contributions in the latter. A public figure, he has been cited by the media as one of the sexiest men in Philippine entertainment.

Piolo Jose Nonato Pascual was born on January 12, 1977, in Malate, Manila, to Philip Herzig Pascual and Amelia Nonato. His paternal grandfather, Harold Herzig, was German, and his paternal grandmother, Aurora Victoriano, was Filipina. Pascual was raised as a Catholic.
