Rita William (Born in 1983) is an Iraqi singer and composer based on modern folklore, oriental jazz, chants in different languages such as Arabic, Aramaic and interfaith dialogue.
Personal life[edit]
Rita William was born in Baghdad, Iraq in 1983 in Karrada region. At the age of nine, she was selected among her school peers to represent Baghdad in a vocal competition in 1994. Rita has been singing at a variety of local events, including fairs, competitions, and national events. She married the artist Ragheed William, neighbors of childhood at an early age, and they moved to Germany, Cologne, western Germany, then they had two sons, Rafi and Rabi. Rita studied and graduated in Cologne, Germany, and obtained a certificate in Media Design. Rita practices this profession as UX/UI Design alongside art.
Career path:
Since 1998, Rita has held many concerts in different parts of Iraq with the Church's Charity and Peace team, and one of the most prominent participants is a "Peace Concert" at the Conferences Palace in Baghdad.
Professionalism:
In 2001, Rita moved to Cologne and continued her passion for music in Germany as well, where she participates in folkloric and church cultural festivals and interfaith dialogue.
Rita William has also made successful world tours. She visited and exhibited in Canada, France, Holland, Belgium, Lebanon, Palestine and Egypt.

CPFA has also initiated the Astana Platform for peace talks in Syria as well as many other confidential talks on the topics of Syria and Libya.
