December 2012
[edit]Hello, I'm Jojalozzo. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Homeopathy without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Jojalozzo 19:34, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, best practice on such a page as the homeopathy article which is one of the most controversial articles in wiki, is to discuss on the talk page before making changes. The part you removed has been discussed before on the talk page, but is something I plan to raise again soon, as its clearly a false statement, as anyone knows - at least the word quackery is rarely used amongst medics in my experience and I doubt the source used to back it up has much in it either, though ultimately, whether anything is true or real or not is not the issue on wiki, its about evidence to back up what is written. Most of the editors active on that article have very strong views, as you will find out if you edit there. Maybe catch you about sonn :) Cjwilky (talk) 20:02, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
Minor edits
[edit]Please don't mark any edits which make any non-trivial changed to content minor, as per WP:MINOR. Thanks, a13ean (talk) 20:07, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
Please use the talk pages
[edit]I'm glad you joined us on this project. As a new editor, your contributions will be most helpful if you discuss your edits on the talk pages of the articles before attempting to edit them. You are responsible for applying Wikipedia policies and style guides when you edit so while you're learning all of the Wikipedia ways of doing things, it's best to check with more experienced editors to make sure you are on the right track. Thanks. Jojalozzo 20:52, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
And, don't forget to sign your messages on all talk pages (including this one!) using four tildes (~~~~). Jojalozzo 20:54, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
Hi, That Would Be Good Jojalozzo.. I Mistakenly Added A Copyvio tag in my last edit. which has been reverted back . can i undo that ?? i feel i have allready tried to revert thrice before bcoz of small things. Shivang Tyagi (talk) 20:56, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
Yes Thanx.. I Learned That... Shivang Tyagi (talk) 20:57, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- You will find that Wikipedia is very forgiving when we admit our mistakes and learn from them, so you are doing fine. Edit summaries are one of the few things that cannot be modified therefore I suggest acknowledging your mistake and moving on. (If you edit this page you will see I put a semicolon (:) in front of this message which indents it under your message so we can all tell it's a response. That's the "talk page way".) Jojalozzo 21:14, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
: Going Through Them
Ha! This is a little tricky. To indent a line, put semicolons (:) at the front of the text but no spaces in front of the semicolons. Adding spaces before the semicolons puts the text in a box and it looks weird like what happened to you here. Keep trying! Spend time playing in the sandbox to get a feel for how it all works. Jojalozzo 21:54, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
Meanwhile I started A Discussion on homeopathic talk page but its being shown on top above the contents..

This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
- And don't forget to check out all the links in the welcome message at the top of this page. That's where you can start learning how Wikipedia editing is done. Jojalozzo 21:17, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
the copyvio tag, can you provide evidence for this, by citing the exact source you are claiming it is copied from (with page numbers etc if it is of any significant length) so this can be verified. Given the article history, and the amount of discussion over this, I think it is extremely unlikely to be a copyright violation (hence my revert) - but if it is a copyright violation, we would take this seriously, as copyright violations can on occasion lead to litigation etc. AndyTheGrump (talk) 21:31, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- See my reply on the article talk page (I've moved your comments to the bottom, where they should have been placed) - Wikipedia articles are based on credible recognised reliable sources, and for an article like our homoeopathy one, such sources need to conform to our Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources (medicine) policy, which the sources you provide clearly don't. You should also read the 'Frequently Asked Questions' at the top of the talk page: note that we aren't saying that homoeopathy is quackery, we are stating (with sources) that it has widely been described as such. The article has been a subject of considerable debate, and isn't going to be changed in the way you propose based on the sources you provide. If, after looking at the material I link, you still wish to discuss this, I suggest you find sources conforming to our policies which are relevant (i.e. sources that actually contradict the assertion that homoeopathy is widely seen as quackery in the medical field), and then raise it again on the article talk page. AndyTheGrump (talk) 22:08, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- Can You Please state any papers or documents stating homeopathy as quackery. Should be evident enough. rather than personal opinions of doctors from allopathic field.
Shivang Tyagi (talk) 22:34, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- I have explained Wikipedia policy to you. I have provided the links to such policy - and that is all I'm prepared to do here. I'm not interested in having the same discussion in two different places, and given your talk page comments, you appear not to have read the relevant policy. Please do so. AndyTheGrump (talk) 23:06, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
The Preview button
[edit]The Preview button next to the Save button is one of the most important features of Wikipedia editing. It will show you what your edit will look like so you can go back in and fix any errors.
I strongly recommend you read the articles linked in the Welcome message at the top of this page and spend some time in the sandbox to get a good feel for how to edit and format text before going much further in articles and talk pages. Jojalozzo 21:50, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- yes jojalozzo am going through them. will try sandbox too.
meanwhile i corrected that article on talk.
- Also its important after saying something on a talk page to put four tildes ~ at the end, or you can hit the tildes at the bottom of the editing box where it says "Sign your posts on talk pages:~~..." :) Cjwilky (talk) 22:09, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- Yes Have Started Putting Signatures. Shivang Tyagi (talk) 22:36, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
Help
[edit]I have changed the {{help me}} tag as it looks like you are already receiving assistance. If this is not the case please replace the {{help me}} tag at the bottom along with your question. --wintonian talk 22:34, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
Thanx Shivang Tyagi (talk) 23:33, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
There's no deadline
[edit]While it maybe seem that something written on Wikipedia that you disagree with is going to cause great harm, please reconsider. This is a work in progress, a very long term project. If we don't correct something right away please have faith that if it is truly wrong it will be corrected in time. Your contributions to improving the encyclopedia are always appreciated but we are developing the work in a collaborative manner, which takes much more time and greatly more energy to coordinate than if we were doing it alone, each to our own part, but which will in the end produce a far better product. - Atleast Lighted Some Hope :) .. Thnx ! Shivang Tyagi (talk) 23:33, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
homeopathy
[edit]Thankyou for your message, please let me know what you wish to discuss on this topic. I very much doubt anything a person knowledgable about homeopathy can say will ever cause much light to replace even a fraction of the heat in THAT WP article, which is why I gave up trying 5 years ago and walked away from it, but please go ahead anyway. thanks Peter morrell 05:06, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
- YES It Seems Like That. But I Don't Wanna Give Up Without Being Proved Otherwise. Shivang Tyagi (talk) 14:54, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
I don't follow the article or the talkpage so anything you want to know I'm afraid you will have to spell it out and ask me specific questions. And I will do my best to say what I think. Hope that sounds OK. thanks Peter morrell 15:30, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
Magnetodielectric Fields
[edit]- I have replied to you on my talk page. In regards my opinion, I will not use Wikipedia as my personal soapbox. However, I have found it effective, and believe it to be explainable either as QED cavitation photon binding by succussion or magnetodielectric fields or in whatever metaphor you like. —Whig (talk) 23:33, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
- Anyways.. Topic seems to be tolerable now, am out of it for somewhile, will get back to it soon. Magnetodielectric fields suits better btw.-- Shivang Tyagi (talk) 06:50, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
2 quick requests
[edit]- Could you, for the love of god, stop capitalizing each word in everything you write?
- Could you, for the love of god, stop trying to prove your points with fallacious appeals to popularity?
Compliance with both of these will make it easier for people to take you seriously. Thank you.
- Initially I Thought To Say : Where From You Popped Up ?? What Made You Say That ? & How My CAPITALIZATION Is Paining You ???
- But you appear to be a good person. Thanx for your advice, will definitely consider it next time. However jst fr ur knowledge im no more active on Wikipedia, what i came here for is accomplished already (so no more projects of interest).
