Summary
[edit]'''Schizoid Pop''' is a relatively new form of music. It combines many different styles of music including: rock, alternative, pop, rap, indie pop, and many others. It often has prefabricated music, prerecorded in a studio. That music is played in the background while other instruments would also be played live by the band members. This allows for a wide variety of music and an infinite amount of styles to be played in the background. This also allows for a wide flexibility in the instruments that would be played live. Since this is a very new style of music, there are not many bands that even play this style of music. The most famous band that is closest to perfecting this style of music is Twenty One Pilots. They are a Schizoid Pop duo from Columbus, Ohio. Twenty One Pilots has two band members. Josh Dun who is the drummer and Tyler Joseph who plays the keyboard/piano/ukulele/vocals.
History
[edit]'''Schizoid Pop''' is a new form of music that broke out more famously in 2009. Although bands may have created songs based on this style of music previously to the date given, there is no documentation or proof of this. Therefore, credit is given to the band '''Twenty One Pilots'''] for officially creating and promoting this new style of music. This style of music would not have been available in the 1960's, 1970's, or 1980's because of the technology that is required to play '''Schizoid Pop'''. Software programs for music on high-tech computers are needed to record, edit, and play the prefabricated music that is used in '''Schizoid Pop'''. The history of '''Schizoid Pop''' is currently and will continually be created.
Live Performances
[edit]Live concerts with '''Schizoid Pop''' are very upbeat, high-energy, and full of passion. The music gets the crowd involved and often causes crowd-surfing, fist-pumping, and a synchronized jumping of the crowd.
