Epidemic Sound http://www.epidemicsound.com/ is a production music library that gives visual content creators use of professional-quality soundtracks.

Today, the Epidemic Sound library contains more than 25,000 tracks that are tagged and formatted for the company’s advanced search tools used to explore, edit and download the music. Each track is broken into STEMS – individual tracks where the instruments can be heard and edited separately – thereby creating more than 100,000 sound files available for use.

The tracks in the library have been created by more than 3,000 composers who are screened and mentored by a select production team led by company co-founder Peer Åström,–http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peer_%C3%85str%C3%B6m an award-winning producer with the world record for the most ever entries on the U.S. Billboard/iTunes chart, and productions for Madonna, Kelly Clarkson and Enrique Iglesias.

In addition to Epidemic Sound, Peer has been producing for the past four years all of the music for the Fox hit TV show series Glee.[1]

Epidemic Sound formally launched in the United States on October 24, 2013 with a commercial agreement in place with Culver City, California-based Maker Studios that gives its network of 70,000 video content creators free, unlimited access to the Epidemic Sound library of professional quality production music.

Epidemic Sound also has deals in place with Discovery International and its “Preposterous Pets” show, the Travel Channel in the Caribbean, Channel 5 in the UK and the TV station’s documentary “Pistorius Trial: The Key Question.”

Epidemic Sound has forged in-store music deals with 148 McDonald’s restaurants in Austria and Swedish hotel group Tui Travel PLC.

Founded in 2009 by award-winning Swedish music, TV and Internet entrepreneurs, Epidemic Sound is headquartered in Stockholm.
