Aaron Hurst is an American entrepreneur and author of two books on business, management and social innovation. He is the CEO of Imperative, a technology platform, and the founder and an advisor of the Taproot Foundation.[1]
Early life and career
[edit]Hurst was born April 9, 1974 in Aspen, Colorado. He graduated from the University of Michigan. After working in Silicon Valley in the early 1990s, Hurst founded the Taproot Foundation in 2001, which donates $15 billion in probono services annually. [2] In 2008, Taproot, partnered with the White House to launch the national Billion+Change campaign. [3][4]
In 2013, Hurst left Taproot to found the start-up Imperative, which launched 2014. [5]
Hurst is a regular blogger for the Huffington Post, Stanford Social Innovation Review and LinkedIn. In 2012, Hurst became a LinkedIn influencer, sharing his insights on management, work and social innovation.[6] He is also a member of The NonProfit Times Power and Influence Top 50. [7]
