Titoxd is a Wikipedian currently attending graduate school, where he studies computational fluid dynamics. While he is too busy most of the time to post new articles in Wikipedia, he is an active user of this valuable source of information, even before he created his Wiki account in April2005. He has been a Wikipedia Administrator since October2005.
Being a bit of an academian, Titoxd is always glad to copyedit the articles he reads to correct grammar mistakes and other conventions.
For those who are wondering why this page is written in 3rd person, I'm practicing my formal writing so I can become a more active member/editor of Wikipedia.
As I roam throughout Wikipedia, I often stumble upon an article that I feel can be improved. Sometimes, I work enough with them that they become a "favorite" for me. This is a (growing) list of the articles I've worked on substantially - and which I'm particularly proud of:
Dendrogramma is a monotypic genus of siphonophore identified in 2014 from a collection of specimens gathered in 1986. Although specimens were at first identified as two species, D. enigmatica and D. discoides, these were later shown to represent varieties of a single species. When Dendrogramma was first discovered, it was speculated that the genus could not be classified into any existing phylum. However, examination of RNA material identified it as a siphonophore in 2016. The specimens are presumed to represent parts (bracts) of a larger organism whose entire morphology is unknown.
This diagram, depicting the holotype, was included in the article which first describedDendrogramma.
