Ankhabar (b. June 4, 1980) is an electronic and rock musician.


The Rose Pedal Division[edit]

Ankhabar recorded the ep "Sinking Ship" through his rock band "The Rose Pedal Division" at Pocket Studios, Toronto, Canada in October of 2008. Tony Brown played drums. Pocket studios has also recorded such artists as Evans Blue and the Blue Man Group. They have worked with XM Satellite Radio and EMI Records. Ankhabar played guitars owned by Mike Turner (musician) formerly of Our Lady Peace on the album. "Sinking Ship" was mastered at Capitol Records, Hollywood.

Electronic Music[edit]

Ankhabar is also known for his electronic music, having played many venues in the Midwest, including The Rave inMilwaukee, WI, and Club Garibaldi which is a part of the Bay View Historical Society. He has played with other IDM/Ambient electronic musicians such as Dr. Light and _alteR _ideM

History[edit]

Ankhabar has been writing and recording music since the age of 13. He recorded his first vocal track with the help of a friend (musician Tyler Goen) on a Macintosh in 1993 at his residence in Manitowoc, WI. He currently uses Reason 3.0 for composition and Vegas 4.0 for live instrument tracking including Fender electric guitars, bongos and field recordings.


Audience[edit]

In November of 2009 the online internet radio station"Astreaux World" found on the website Live365 began to broadcast three tracks from "The Sound of Broken Rulez" in regular rotation.
