My notes (because I can't help myself)

[edit]

Looks good! All the important info is there. For the sake of clarity, let's put the school buildings in the right-most column, so the smaller columns look like they belong together. Use the school report card (start here, the data is on page 2 of the Accountability and Overview Report) as the source for the student population (unfortunately it means going through each individually, but at least the reference coding will be fine (use {{cite web |title=The New York State District Report Card: Accountability and Overview Report 2007—08 |publisher=State of New York Education Department Office of Information and Reporting Services |year=2009 |url= |format=PDF|accessdate=[[2009-10-27]] |page=2}}). That will cost you 2¢, please. upstateNYer 01:27, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Thank you very much for the citation, that is going to make it ALOT easier to both cite and to get the numbers in the first place. I had started writing down numbers from going to each school district's website and looking every where for them, and frankly was running out of paper writing down the enrollments and website names along with the different years each website was going by! Your way makes it consistent with what year it is and so much easier. As for the building column I'm looking into ways to colapse them in a way that the column will be the same width as the rest of them, unless you hit the "show" button. If I do get that column collapsable for each row would you still want the column to be at the far right? Any other notes, suggestions or tips?Camelbinky (talk) 05:16, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Looks like Maplewood is its own K-8 district, similar to Wynantskill, and not part of any other district. You'll want to update accordingly. A footnote would be good for that, to distinguish the K-8 districts, and another for North Greenbush Common would be good too, because it's just a one-room schoolhouse, probably K-2 (it says in the accountability report). upstateNYer 17:16, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Maplewood voted to disolve and join the North Colonie CSD which took effect on July 1, 2008 with the promise that the Maplewood School would be an elementary school in the district for at least 7-10 years, the report card you have is for last year when they were separate districts[1]. When the name on the school website conflicts with the report card is the report card official, such as for Rotterdam-Mohannason [2]? The rest of your changes I can implement soon.Camelbinky (talk) 20:17, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Got me on Maplewood. Nice job. :) As for Mohonasen, go with the report card; it's as official as official gets. I know a couple board members over at Mohonasen; the name issue comes down to the fact that when they merged, Mohonasen was the one that gobbled up Rotterdam, and they preferred to stay with their original name, leaving Rotterdam out when listed on their website. But as far as the state is concerned, it's two names. upstateNYer 20:23, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
