María de los Ángeles Valdés Ramírez (Matamoros, Tamaulipas) is a Mexican biologist, researcher, lecturer and academic. Her research focuses on agricultural microbiology and soil science.

María de los Ángeles studied a bachelor's degree in biology at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, UNAM (Spanish: Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico). She subsequently studied at the Institute of Research for Development (French: Institut de Recherche pour le Développement, IRD) in France and obtained her PhD at the University of Caen Normandy.

She has taught ecology, soil microbiology, and biotechnology at the School of Biological Sciences (Spanish: Escuela Nacional de Ciencias Biológicas) at the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico (Spanish: Instituto Politécnico Nacional, IPN) where she founded the university's agricultural microbiology laboratory.[1] She has collaborated with the College of Postgraduates (Spanish: Colegio de Postgraduados, COLPOS) and the universities of Guerrero, Sinaloa, Colima and Tamaulipas.
