Ramya Pandian (actress)
[edit]Ramya Pandian (born 13 August 1990) is an Indian film actor who acts in tamil cinema. She is one of the promising upcoming stars in the industry. She debuted in the tamil romantic-comedy flick Dummy Tappasu (2015), where she gained acclaim for her charming portrayal, and cute and naughty mannerisms[1]. She followed that with Joker (2016), which won two awards at the 64th National Film Awards including Best Feature Film in Tamil and secured an IMDb rating of 8.4/10[2]. She is also known for her homely portrayal in the family drama Aan Devathai (2018).
She came out as the second runner-up in the first of its kind culinary-comedy reality show Cooku with Comali aired in Star Vijay, which created huge acclaim and popularity for her among tamil households in the state and in overseas tamil speaking nations.
Star Vijay is reportedly in talks with her to take part in the 4th season of the popular reality show Bigg Boss Tamil[3]. She is currently in independent talks with Suriya's 2D Entertainment and C. V. Kumar's Thirukumaran Entertainment regarding her upcoming projects[4].
Personal Life
[edit]Ramya Pandian was born on 13 August 1990 in Tirunelveli. Her father C. Durai Pandian is a Tamil film director. Her paternal uncle Arun Pandian is an Indian film actor, director, producer and politician[5]. Her father has directed the tamil thriller Uzhiyan (1994) starring her uncle Arun Pandian in the lead. The film was dubbed in Telugu as Indian Citizen.
She pursued her schooling in Pushpalata Matric Higher Secondary School, Tirunelveli and her collegiate education in Anna University.
