Troy Melville

Troy Melville (born December 31, 1968 in Hobart, Tasmania) is an independent film director and producer.

Career

After studying Fine Arts at The University of Tasmania, Troy Melville made the move from photography to filmmaking in early 2000.

Receiving acclaim ^[1] for his first broadcast documentary in 2004 for Testing Taklo ^[2], which launched the 2004 series of the SBS series Inside Australia.

Troy Melville continues to work as a digital artist, in 2008 working as a videographer with Fiona Foley ^[3] to create Bliss, an 11 minute film that is now on permanent display in the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney.

Troy Melville is the director of Move Media ^[4], a film and television production company based in Tasmania.
