Mizanur Rahman Azhari (Bengali: মিজানুর রহমান আজহারী) is a notable speaker, scholar and preacher of Islam from Bangladesh.[3][4][5][6][7][8] He has contributed Islam and Comparative Religion studies. He also involved in various humanitarian, social, moral, educational and economic welfare activities. Recently, Azhari hosted a Islamic show Islam O Sundor Jibon aired by private television channel Baishakhi TV.[9]He gained popularity, specially from the young generation, by speacking contemporary societal issues in his speech from the point of religious view.[10][11][12][13][14]
Early life and education
[edit]Azhari was born in a respectable Muslim family on 26 January 1990 in Demra, Dhaka, Bangladesh. His father is a Madrasah teacher and his mother is a housewife. He has a brother. His father's original home district was Cumilla.[15][16]
Azhari passed Dakhil Examination in 2004 with the GPA golden 5 and also Alim Examination in 2006 with the GPA golden 5 both in the institution of Darunnajat Siddiqia Kamil Madrasah and gained top place results in Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board.[17][18] In 2007, He took 1st place among thousands of students in the Egyptian Government Scholarship Examination which was organized by Islamic Foundation, then he went to Egypt for the undergraduate with the subject Department of Tafsir and Quranic Science at Al-Azhar University in Egypt.[19][20] He successfully completed his graduation with 80% marks.[21] He also completed post-graduation, MPhil, IELT and Ph.D. at the International Islamic University of Malaysia.[22][23]
Career
[edit]Azhari started his career with Islami Sangeet singer and Qirat artist in 2010. Then he joined ATN BANGLA Islamic show where refereed and introduced by Taereq Munawar. In early 2015, he started his Wazz mahfil career.
On 25 January 2020, he announced to postpone all the Wazz Mahfil and other scheduling programs till March this year due to research in Malaysia.[24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31] He wrote his facebook official page,
“This year's Tafsir program is being put on hold for some reason around the world. So, until March, the rest of my programs were postponed. I am going back to Malaysia again for research work. If Allah Almighty gives the opportunity, will see you again and talk to Insha Allah.”
There was no specific answer to the question as to why the sudden move to Malaysia and he did not mention what those reasons were.[32][33][34][35]
Television
[edit]Azhari started his television career with ATN Bangla Islamic show Islam o Deen. Then he also contributed as a co-host of Boishakhi TV Islamic show Shantir Pothe.[36] He also contributed other Bangladeshi private television channel for the various Islamic show.

Personal life
[edit]Azhari's birth name was Mizanur Rahman but due to the studies at Al-Azhar University in Egypt the title of Azhari is associated with his last part of the name. He is proficient in Bengali, English and Arabic language very naturally.
Azhari was married on 29th January 2014. The couple have two daughter.
In social media
[edit]Azhari is the first Bangladeshi Islamic scholar who gained popularity on social media such as Facebook, Instagram and also YouTube channel, where his Facebook official page reached 2 million followers and his Islamic wazz content also reached over 200 million total views on YouTube from separate channel, though he has no own YouTube channel.[44][45]
