Generation is a Filipino alternative rock music group. The group signed to Star Records released their self-titled album Generation in 2014[1][2] reminiscent of classic rock tunes from the 1960s and the 1970s.[3]
Members
[edit]Generation is composed of sons of very famous OPM (Original Pilipino music) recording artists like singer, baladeer and composer Jose Mari Chan, singer Celeste Legaspi and Filipino rock icon Sampaguita.[2][4]

- Ige Gallardo (rhythm guitar), son of Celeste Legaspi
- Jose Antonio "Joe" Chan (bass), son of Jose Mari Chan
- Michael "Mike" Chan (keyboards), son of Jose Mari Chan
History
[edit]Formed in 2008, the band started performing in various gigs, playing classics from The Beatles, Doobie Brothers, Cars, among others. Then in 2010, Generation began recording their debut album of all-original songs. The members describe their brand of music as new classic rock as showcased by its distinct yet melodic compositions, like the album’s carrier single "Love is Killing Me."
