Alexis Green is a broadcast journalist and presenter, best known for her work as a weather presenter on the regional news programme BBC South Today.

Green graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in Sports Science, and she was a qualified Personal Trainer. At age 23 she started as a runner at CBBC, moving on to become a researcher and later a studio floor manager at ITN for Channel 4 News and Five News. This experience included operating cameras, controlling autocue and standing in as a weather presenter.[1]

She later moved on to volunteer in Surrey at a local radio station, where she went on to present the travel news in the Midlands for two years. After this she went back to London and began presenting travel news on ITV, GMTV, Talk Sport & BBC Radio 5 Live.[1]

Personal life

Green was born in Winchester and was first brought up in Twyford. At age 4 she moved with her family to Fordingbridge where she helped run a family farm. At age 16 she moved to Mudeford, Dorset on the coast. [1]

She enjoys exercise and horse riding, and has run two marathons.[1]
