Do I need to sign up for commons to upload, or can I upload without being a commons member? I tried uploading something a while back but was unsuccessful, so I'm currently hazy on how to upload at commons. Will be happy to join and upload if required. Thanks :) VoodooIsland (talk) 18:35, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

I understand you are a wiki editor on But please refrain from reusing disputed images as you did on Jun. K. The image in question was one uploaded by [Pa-Shoulder]. When i questioned her on it she 1st said it was hers. When I showed the Google Image Search Results she then said it was not hers, but borrowed from

If the image is linked to other wiki's, it's best if it's taken down.

Where can I see that this picture is disputing right now? Why didn't you started discussion on this media at commons? --kwan-in (talk) 07:46, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

A discussion does not need to be held when it concerns an image that has already been shown as not being an original work. Mikepellerin (talk) 08:09, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Then you'd better request deletion in commons, not warning me. Who knows if there's no information about violating copyrights? --kwan-in (talk) 08:28, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Passpo, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Growing Up (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Invitation to Sydney editathon - Saturday 23rd November[edit]

There is a backstage pass coming up to be followed by an editathon in the State Library of New South Wales on Saturday 23 November. I'm hoping you might be able to make it down the big smoke for the occasion. This is the first time that an Australian cultural institution has opened its doors to us in this way and will be a special opportunity because the Library is providing: one of its best rooms; its expert curators (along with their expertise and their white gloves); a newly launched website (containing new resources); and of course, items from its collection (including rare and usually unavailable material) which we can look at, learn from, and use, to improve WP articles. For example, on the chosen topic (Australia and WWI), the Library holds many diaries and manuscripts from the period.

As you can see from the Library's project page, they have connected this editathon with their own work. They have already set out a wide range of resources to make things easier for us. Please sign up on the editathon project page if you can participate either online or in person with other Wikipedians. Hope to see you there! (Sorry if you've received this message before - I did a quick check but didn't see it.) 99of9 (talk) 11:07, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
