This is my fourth and last warning to you, whoever you are. If you persist on changing the nationality of the article "Ignasi Ribó" to "Spanish", I will have to report you as an anonymous, politically-motivated vandal. Please note:

1. Catalan is an internationally recognized ethnic or national group. This page on Catalans attests to it and gives enough evidence to support this claim. 2. Catalans are also recognized as a distinct "nationality" in the current Spanish constitution. 3. The nationality or national identity of an individual is not defined by citizenship. It is a matter of identity, which includes both objective and subjective elements. On the subjective elements, since this is an article about myself, only me can define my own national identity as Catalan, not Spanish. 4. The article in question already states that the person was born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, stating the current administrative inclusion of the place of birth within an existing state as of today. This is different from the national identity or nationality, as stated above. 5. It is usual practice in Wikipedia to use nationalities for writers and other persons, even if those nationalities do not correspond to existing independent states. See for example, Walter Scott (Scottish), Luuk Gruwez (Flemish), Tino Rossi (Corsican), etc. There are also many examples of Catalan writers, for example Maria Àngels Anglada. 6. The efforts to change the nationality of this page (and perhaps others) to Spanish by this anonymous contributor are obviously motivated by a certain ideology (Spanish nationalism) which tries to assimilate all distinct national groups into a homogeneous national identity in order to ensure a centralized and Castilian-dominated control of the whole state. People inspired by this same ideology have often prohibited the public use of Catalan language, have forced Catalan parents to give Castilian names to their children, or have tried to thwart any international recognition of the Catalan language or the Catalan people. The anonymous contributor, probably inspired by this same ideological stance, is trying to implement the same assimilationist policy on this Wikipedia page. If s/he were motivated by the research of truth, s/he would take into account both the objective and subjective elements of national identity alluded to above and leave the national identification as "Catalan". But his or her politically motivated insistence on assimilating the person in this article to his or her preconceived idea of nationality, in spite of my repeated warnings, can only be described as vandalism.

For the last time, I ask you directly to desist in your attempts to impose your nationalistic viewpoints on this page, which affects my own personal identity in a public space. If you don't desist, I will denounce you for vandalism and ask Wikipedia administrators to take appropriate measures.
