Welcome![edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Laurdal, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

You can't just hijack an article. I copied that content into a draft; you can see it at Draft:Laurdal (ship) and you are free to work on it there. Drmies (talk) 20:17, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Drmies: yes I understand that, however I have some good reasons for it. The disambiguation page is only on name variants from many many years ago. Next to that 1) There is no page on Wikipedia with “Laurdal” in the title. So when creating one it’s more logic to have that without disambigistion “(ship)”. 2) The “For” template at the top of the pages covers the complete functionality as the disambigious page it is now. 3) The page Laurdal didn’t have any page views and because the “for” template takes over the navigation, a page “Laurdal (disambiguation)” is not needed. Also the page doesn’t have international variants or other functional incoming links. 109.38.145.121 (talk) 07:03, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I see what you mean. Hold on. Drmies (talk) 14:48, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I merged them. But! if you had explained this in an edit summary I would have thought twice about reverting. Drmies (talk) 14:50, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Drmies: thank for all you did. Yes good point, I will explain more when making a “controversial” edit. Thank you 109.38.145.121 (talk) 19:53, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
